Lumbar ScoliRoll

The ScoliRoll can be used as both a diagnostic tool and an aid for the treatment of scoliosis. Developed by Denneroll Industries and Scolicare, the ScoliRoll can be incorporated into therapeutic exercise programs, such as rigid or dynamic bracing.

The patented Denneroll peak can de-rotate and straighten scoliosis by creating a specific bending point, allowing muscles and ligaments to stretch. It is also an effective tool for use in spinal stabilization exercises when scoliosis is in a straightened position.

As a diagnostic tool, the ScoliRoll can be used to assess the amount of flexibility in a scoliosis curve, giving clinicians an indication of how much curve correction is possible through rehabilitation or bracing. The Lumbar Scoliroll is designed to treat lumbar and some thoraco-lumbar scoliosis curves.

How Does it Work?

Using the patented Denneroll peak, the ScoliRoll® aids in:

• De-rotation of the spine
• Ligament Stretch (especially useful for patients with stiff scoliosis curves to improve spinal flexibility)

When lying on the Retrainer, it is best to keep your legs flat for the most effect on the thoracic spine. At first a slight bend in the knees is recommended to develop tolerance for the position.
