Deed E. Harrison, D.C., graduated from Life-West Chiropractic College in 1996. Dr. Harrison has developed and researched original spinal rehabilitation procedures and has lectured to thousands of Chiropractors at nearly 1000 educational conferences around the world. He has authored (co-authored) approximately 234 peer-reviewed spine related publications, 7 spine textbooks, and numerous conference proceedings. He is a highly respected chiropractic researcher and authority in today’s profession.

Dr. Harrison is a manuscript reviewer for several top-tier peer-reviewed Spine journals including: Spine, Journal of Clinical Medicine, PloS One, Clinical Biomechanics, Clinical Anatomy, Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the European Spine Journal, European Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, BMC Complimentary Alternative Medicine, and BMC Musculo-Skeletal Disorders. Additionally, Dr. Harrison is a Guest Editor for two Special Issues on spine rehabilitation for the Journal of Clinical Medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Harrison is a past member to the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), is a former International Chiropractors Association’s (ICA) Nevada State Assembly Representative member, and is the acting Chair of the PCCRP Chiropractic Radiography Guidelines. He formerly held a position on the Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada. Currently, Dr. Harrison is the President / CEO of Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®)Technique & Seminars and is the President of CBP NonProfit, Inc. – a spinal research foundation.

Lastly, he directs and owns a large chiropractic rehabilitation and education facility in Eagle, ID, USA called the Ideal Spine Health Center.

Dr. Joe Ferrantelli is the Chief Technology Officer for Chiropractic BioPhysics Technique and CEO of PostureCo; a company that develops proprietary technology-software for radiographic and postural analysis. Dr. Ferrantelli is a Certified Instructor for CBP® Seminars and has co-authored manuscripts published in numerous journals. He is contributing author and executive committee member for the ICA Best Practices and Practice Guidelines, and the Practicing Chiropractors’ Committee on Radiology Protocols document.

Robert Berry graduated with a B.S. in Medical technology and a B.S. in Biology from State University of New York at Fredonia and in 1996 he graduated from NYCC. Dr. Berry started Berry Translations in 1999 and holds a patent on the Berry Lateral Translation Traction unit; used in CBP offices around the world.

Dr. Berry was the past adjunct professor at NYCC from 2000-2002 where he taught the CBP Technique elective course. In 2001, Dr. Berry was named “Chiropractic Biophysics Doctor of the Year” for his contributions to the field of Chiropractic Biophysics. In 2006 he was awarded Chiropractic Biophysic’s Outstanding Achievement Award for his efforts and contributions in the field of chiropractic education. He has been published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation and was one of the first doctors in the world to be advanced certified in Chiropractic BioPhysics. He is an instructor for CBP as well.

Dr. Berry has been a member of the International Chiropractor’s Association since 2001 and has owned and operated a full time private Chiropractic practice for 15 years where one of his main treatment focuses is providing high quality CBP Technique procedures to presenting patient populations.

In addition to practicing full-time, Dr. Betz is active in chiropractic politics as a member of the board of directors for the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) and the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Tenets and Science (FACTS). He is also the current Vice President of both the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians (IACP) and Chiropractic BioPhysics® Non-Profit.

He has co-authored many papers in the peer-reviewed literature in journals such as The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, European Spine Journal, The Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development and The Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research. He is Chairman of the ICA’s Guidelines Committee and is one of the principal investigators for the PCCRP X-Ray Guidelines, the ICA Best Practice Guidelines and the ICA of California Whiplash Guidelines. He also co-authored several chapters for a chiropractic textbook on “Structural Rehabilitation” of the lumbar spine.

Dr. Joe Betz has received many awards including Researcher of the Year for CBP NonProfit and Chiropractor of the Year for both CBP NonProfit as well as the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians.

Originally from Boonton, NJ, Dr. Boyd has called the city of Alameda, CA home for several years. Prior to her post-graduate studies at Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Boyd was a 2001 graduate of Bloomfield College, from which she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Pre-Chiropractic studies.

Dr. Cynthia Boyd is the owner and founder of Symmetry Health Center and Bay Area Scoliosis Center. She is at the forefront of Chiropractic BioPhysics® as the faculty instructor for CBP® Technique classes at Life West. She is one of the only CBP® practitioners in the East Bay Area, CA.

Dr. Boyd was honored for her contributions in CBP® with the prestigious Chiropractic BioPhysics® Chiropractor of the Year Award, 2009, at the 31st Annual CBP® Convention. Now for the second time, Symmetry Chiropractic was recognized in Alameda Magazine’s “Best of Alameda” issue, September/October, 2009. Her commitment to ongoing education in her field keeps her on the leading edge of chiropractic care in the Bay Area.

Since 1999, Dr. Karri Cardinal has practiced chiropractic in downtown San Francisco. With experience and an open mind, she is committed to promoting the health and well being of all her patients.

Dr. Cardinal graduated magma cum lade from Life Chiropractic College West in 1998. While a student at Life West, she was the first female president of the CBP club. As the club president, she taught other chiropractic students the theory and application of CBP. She earned the “Commitment to Excellence Award” in 1997 for this achievement. After graduation, Dr. Cardinal taught CBP and Advanced CBP at Life Chiropractic College West (2006 to present) and Palmer Chiropractic College West (2003 to 2005). For this she was awarded the “Chiropractic Biophysics Outstanding Achievement Award” in 2006.

Believing that prevention is elemental in maintaining youthfulness and vitality, Dr. Cardinal strives to educate people on health and wellness. In addition to weekly workshops in her office, she has taught at companies such as United Airlines, Whole Foods, Kaiser Hospital, Wells Fargo, W Hotel, UC Berkeley, and Prometheus Real Estate Group.

Dr. Jean-Guy, a native of Montreal Quebec, Canada, is a Doctor of Chiropractic today due to the phenomenal care he received during his fifteen year Hockey career finishing at the Quebec Major Junior level. Dr. Jean-Guy’s first studies were in Physical Education at McGill University and includes a Bachelors in Nutrition and Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating second in his class from Life University.

He is a Certified Instructor for Chiropractic BioPhysics and is the CBP Technique elective instructor at University of Quebec at Three Rivers. Jean-Guy is holds an Advanced Clinical Training Certificate in Nutritional Response Testing.

Dr. Fedorchuk graduated from Life University in 2002 and is an Advanced Distinguished Fellow of CBP and a Certified CBP Instructor. He was honored with the prestigious Chiropractic BioPhysics® Researcher of the Year Award in 2009 at the 31st Annual CBP® Convention and also in that same year the 2009 CLA Researcher of the year.

In his 10 years of practice Dr. Fedorchuk has published several CBP Case studies in peer reviewed journals and presented numerous platform and poster research presentations at various chiropractic conferences. In addition to other ongoing research projects he also is on two editorial boards and does peer review for three different journals.

He currently maintains a busy wellness practice and is also the faculty instructor for CBP Technique classes at Life East.

Dr. Haas is a Greeley, CO native and co-owner of Windsor Spine Center has 15 years experience in the research and treatment of spinal disorders. He is a graduate of Life Chiropractic West.

In addition to their extensive undergraduate and doctoral education, Dr. Jason and Dr. Sandy received specialized training in CBP though an intensive series of post graduate seminars. Dr. Jason also possesses an extensive knowledge of nutrition and teaches on the topic weekly. Dr. Jason is a CBP® Non-Profit clinical researcher and, spinal research institute Board Member. He was awarded CBP® Chiropractor and Chiropractic Researcher of the Year.

Dr. Haas has coauthored three textbooks publications on spinal rehabilitation and spinal biomechanics (CBP Structural Rehabilitation of the Cervical Spine, Spinal Biomechanics for Clinicians, Vol. 1, and CBP Structural Rehabilitation of the Lumbar Spine. ), and has had 16 index-medicus articles published in prestigious journals such as Spine™ the Journal of Rehabilitation Research, Development and European Spine Journal and others.Dr. Jason enjoys time with his two children, Dylan and Sierra and goes fishing when he gets the chance. He is a lifelong musician and submits blogs to this website several times per week.

Dr. Jaeger has practiced since 1999 and has been chiropractor in Las Vegas since 2001 where he has brought his passion for health and wellness to the community that he and his family have called home since the late 1940’s.

Dr. Jaeger attended UNLV during his undergraduate program and graduate school at Southern California University of Health Sciences. As class representative and Student American Chiropractic Association Vice President SCUHS chapter, he successfully lobbied in Washington DC for such issues as Medicare and HMO reform.

Dr. Jaeger participated in a rotation through Cal State Northridge’s prestigious Physical Therapy program where he successfully integrated neuro-musculoskelatal therapies on paralysis and stroke victims. He is a Certified Fellow and Instructor in the technique of Chiropractic Biophysics and developer of the Universal Tractioning System.

Dr. Jaeger served as the Southern Nevada Representative to the Nevada Chiropractic Association 2008-2009 where he successfully lobbied for Nevada’s acceptance the PCCRP (Practicing Chiropractors Committee on Radiology Protocols). He has served as the Nevada State Delegate to the ICA (International Chiropractic Association) since 2010. Dr. Jaeger spoke at the 2011 European Chiropractic Union Annual Conference in Zurich on, “Cooperative Methods between Neuro-Surgeons and Chiropractors”.

Dr. Jaeger is licensed to practice Chiropractic in Nevada, Arizona and California and is proud to bring his experience and enthusiasm to the Southern Nevada community. He is a proudly married to his wife Carrie and has two boys, Aden and Sebastian. Dr. Jaeger proudly enjoys an excellent working relationship with many of Southern Nevada’s premier medical surgeons and physicians.

Dr. Katz practices CBP in Boulder, CO with his wife Seana. He has published studies in Spine journal, journal of pain physician and others. He has been on many health care boards including his state chiropractic board. He has testified in court for patients injured in MVC and has presented CBP in court on many occasions.

Peter Lope, DC, graduated from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic Magnum Cum Laude in 1981. He has been practicing CBP since 1984 and teaching CBP training stations. In 1992, Dr. Lope was named “CBP Chiropractor of the Year.“ Dr. Lope is a certified CBP instructor, a board member of CBP Non- Profit, and manages the CBP Case Consultation on call service for Chiropractors needing case management advice. Dr. Lope maintains a private practice in Manalapan, NJ.

Dr. McAviney received his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University and is one of few chiropractors to complete the Masters of Pain Medicine at Newcastle University. He is an Advanced Certified CBP practitioner and Instructor. Dr McAviney is the founding director of the London Scoliosis Clinic in the UK, a multidisciplinary clinic with a conservative approach to scoliosis treatment. He is formerly the Research and Development Manager and international instructor for The Spine Corporation in the UK, the manufactures of the SpineCor Scoliosis brace.

Dr. McAviney has recently moved back to Australia and now provides conservative scoliosis treatment at the Sydney Scoliosis Centre. Currently, Dr. McAviney is the only CBP Certified Instructor in Australia.

Dr. Donald W. Meyer graduated with honors from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1981 and maintains a full-time CBP practice. In 1986, he founded Circular Traction Supply, Inc. to create, produce and provide extension traction-oriented products to the chiropractic profession.

In 1998, he developed the first wearable posture corrective cervical traction brace. He has also introduced a wearable thoraco-lumbo-pelvic corrective brace as well as developing new designs and protocols for posture corrective body-weighting. He has combined the use of these devices and protocols into a new rehabilitative therapy entitled, “Ambulatory Postural Remodeling”.

Dr. Meyer is a certified CBP instructor and has created FDA approved motorized intermittent lumbar/cervical extension traction devices as well as a full-spine vibratory traction unit. He is a contributing author to the PCCRP Chiropractic Radiography Guidelines and the CBP Lumbar Textbook.

Dr. Jason Miller, the co-founder of both PostureWorks and its sister health center NutraWorks, is a well-respected chiropractic clinician, a certified Chiropractic BioPhysics practitioner and instructor, a nutritional counselor, and an educator.

As a wellness and prevention based doctor, he is dedicated to being both a teacher and a student for the rest of his professional life. Dr. Miller takes a proactive stance towards health and believes the most important aspect of treating patients is educating them about the natural and effective methods of preventing disease before it begins.

His passion for teaching others has lead him to accept a part time faculty position at Life Chiropractic College West, one of the worlds top chiropractic institutions, and he is regularly asked to lecture for the UCSF Medical Center and Medical School’s Wellness Committee. Though teaching other healthcare providers about Wellness and Prevention continues to be a fulfilling aspect of Dr. Miller’s professional life, his most important work lies within educating the public and empowering his community with the knowledge and tools to allow an individual to be his or her own resource for health and vitality.

Dan Murphy, DC graduated magna cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1978, and has more than 26 years of practice experience. He received his Diplomat in Chiropractic Orthopedics in 1986. He serves as part time undergraduate faculty at Life Chiropractic College West and is on the postgraduate faculty of several Chiropractic Colleges. His continuing education conferences include: “Whiplash and Spinal Trauma,” “Neuroimmunology,” “Pediatrics,” “Phospholipid Neurobiology,” “The Neurophysiology of Therapeutic Lasers,” and “Nutrition.”

He is the coordinator of a year-long certification program through the ICA in “Chiropractic Spinal Trauma.” He has taught more than 1,000 post-graduate seminars worldwide. He has several chapters to his name in several highly rated chiropractic texts and is a contributing author to several trade journals each year. Dr. Murphy has been a CBP Certified Instructor for many years.

Dr. Norton grew up in the Shoreline area before attending Life Chiropractic College West in California. In 1996, he graduated with highest honors – Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Norton has created a family practice with a contemporary, open, and friendly environment. Using a “team” approach, he works with his patients to achieve their health goals.

Dr. Norton is a Distinguished Fellow of Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP)/Advanced Certified CBP, as well as a highly respected CBP Instructor. He has extensive post-graduate training in:

  • Procedures and rational for spinal modeling and correction
  • Biomechanical principles of the spine
  • Neurology, posture, and systemic health
  • Cervical and lumbar rehabilitation
  • Chiropractic O.B./pediatric care
  • Extremity adjusting

Dr. Norton is also a certified Industrial Injury Prevention Consultant for two major airlines as well as local businesses. He is a member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, The International Chiropractic Association, and is President of the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce.

Paul Oakley received his B.Sc. (Hons) in kinesiology from Laurentian University (Sudbury, Ontario) in 1997, his M.Sc. in Biomechanics from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) in 2000, and his D.C. degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa) in 2003. He has served eight years for the Canadian Forces Reserves, has been an ergonomic consultant, as well as held research assistant positions as a student.

Dr. Oakley has presented numerous platform and poster research presentations at various biomechanics and chiropractic scientific conferences and continues to be involved with research projects related to biomechanics, posture, radiation exposure, and ergonomics. He is in private practice in Newmarket, Ontario.

Dr. Levin’s educational journey began at Brandeis University, where he pursued a pre-med track while earning his bachelor’s degree in classical archeology and ancient history. His passion for preventive and wellness-focused healthcare led him to obtain his doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW) in the San Francisco Bay Area.

With a background in musculoskeletal care, Dr. Levin excelled in his chiropractic studies, graduating as Valedictorian with Summa Cum Laude honors. His clinical excellence was acknowledged during his internship and residence at the LCCW Health Center, where he mentored fellow interns and received the 2007 Clinical Excellence Award.  

Dr. Levin currently practices in PostureWorks’ first clinic in San Francisco established in 2008 and is also the current Professor of Chiropractic Biophysics at LCCW for the since 2014.

Following graduation from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City in 1994, Dr. Stockwell owned and operated two clinics in northern Michigan. Her specialty included Pediatrics, Maternal, and Family Care with a focus on structural correction utilizing Chiropractic BioPhysics protocols. She is a FICPA, has completed all Croft Whiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology modules and is certified in Chiropractic Spinal Trauma (CCST) through the ICA.  She served as an Independent Medical Examiner for 12 years utilizing evidence-based recommendations based on CBP protocols to support chiropractic interventions.

Dr. Stockwell has been on the Faculty of Life University since 2012. She teaches the CBP elective and continues to work to integrate CBP as a core technique in the revisions to the Life University College of Chiropractic curriculum. She has served the University in several capacities including Faculty Senate President, the Institutional Review Board, the Curriculum Committee, and as Executive Director for Clinical Operations.
