Denneroll Cervical Orthotic Treatment Significantly Improves Cervical Curvature and Long-Term Outcomes in Cervical Radiculopathy Patients: Results from a Randomized Controlled Trial Shows

Eagle, Idaho — January 14, 2026

A landmark randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT) published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (a top tier Q1 journal) has demonstrated that the addition of the cervical Denneroll orthotic device to a standard multimodal rehabilitation program produces significant and sustained improvements in pain, disability, spinal alignment, and neurophysiological function in patients suffering from discogenic cervical radiculopathy.

This landmark study enrolled 60 adults with chronic discogenic cervical radiculopathy and associated cervical hypolordosis and anterior head translation. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard multimodal care alone or the same care augmented with the cervical Denneroll corrective orthotic device designed to restore cervical lordosis. Outcomes were assessed at baseline, 10 weeks, and one-year follow-up.

Key findings include:

  • Significant improvement in cervical lordosis and reduction in anterior head translation in the group using the cervical Denneroll orthotic device versus the comparative group at both 10 weeks and one year.
  • Sustained reductions in neck and arm pain intensity, and statistically significant improvements in the Neck Disability Index at one-year follow-up in the Dennneroll intervention group.
  • Enhanced neurophysiological function in the Denneroll group — including improved somatosensory evoked potential amplitudes and central conduction times — likely resulting from structural alignment improvements.

The results of this RCT decisively showed that structural correction of the cervical spine using the cervical Denneroll orthotic leads to better long-term clinical outcomes than conventional multimodal treatment alone, supporting the clinical value of radiographic alignment analysis and structural / posture corrective strategies in managing complex cervical spine disorders.

Dr. Deed E. Harrison, co-author and President/CEO of CBP NonProfit, stated:

“This study sets a new standard in cervical spine rehabilitation. By addressing the root structural abnormalities — not just symptoms — we can deliver durable, meaningful improvements in pain, function, and neurologic health. These findings validate the use of the cervical Denneroll orthotic and a biomechanical corrective approach to care that empowers clinicians to deliver results that last.” — Dr. Deed E. Harrison

This research contributes to an evolving evidence base emphasizing the importance of sagittal plane alignment correction in spine care, with clear implications for conservative management best practices.

About the Study

The trial was conducted under university research laboratory conditions with rigorous randomized controlled methodology and comprehensive long-term follow-up, representing one of the most robust clinical evaluations of posture corrective intervention in cervical radiculopathy to date.
